Caricatures, Children’s Art, Sketches and Previous Artwork

The Caricatures were generally completed as technical demonstrations in my college art classes. This method combines pastels, colored pencils and oil glazes. For many, this was an easy bridge from drawing into traditional painting. The Children’s Art came naturally as a part of teaching storytelling through various projects professionally and in the college studio. The Preliminary Drawings have always been a part of the artist’s ideation process. Much of teaching illustration is demonstrating the value of these with quick drawings that communicate with immediacy.
